Questioning the existence of super Natural God... Do he exist or are we living in never ending illusion?

Image
Some say he exist, some say don't, rest doubt! To those who believe in his presence, let me ask why & where; and people who say no might just be jealous of those who have experienced the elixir of divine spirit and the most ravishing are those who doubt in his existence. People just are not able to completely neither believe in his presence nor do are they able to muster up enough courage to discard an entity-so-old called God! Then, what is to be believed and what is it that should be dumped in trash, forever? In fact, this whole debate or confusion lies solely on the fact that no one of us has, till now or ever,  seen that divine supreme power. We believe in him because that’s what we are told and preached from the very old childhood days! On the other hand we tend to question about his existence as the logical yet resilient mind which matures with time resist in believing or thinking what we haven't experienced or saw. Even then there are a good bunch of people

Samba, Barbecue grill and Monkey forests are few things legislators of a bankrupt state prefer over attention to drought and farmer suicides!

'Study-Tour' is no new word for most of us who have danced, partied on the way but at the same time have completed (read studied, learnt) what we set for in first place unlike these politicians of India (Karnataka today) who have named their Amazon junket a 'study tour' and are set to be part of things that they-only-know how will it fall under 'study' tab and how it is going to address issues back at home which is on its way to bankruptcy. We hear of late that the extravagant Jan 2014, Karnataka's Amazon bash is postponed, all thanks to a reputed news channel which busted this bubble called 'Study-Tour'. But had it not been busted, they would have gone their way and to what extent? Going by the simple itinerary, it's all fun and no work policy they are all up to. '0% work, 100% fun' is how Times Now unveiled it. Monkey Forest, Alligator Park, dancing to the tunes of Samba & Tango, Barbecue grill, Desert Safari and much mo

Chennai, Tamil and an unexpected gesture that restored my faith in human good!

Image
Joy and dismay do travel hand in hand at times or so was my situation when I got my Date-Of-Joining mail from IT major Wipro technologies. The joy obvious was from late-but-timely DOJ but shock was regarding the place they had assigned for training - Chennai. The fact that they hate to speak in Hindi, the supposed common denominator in India, made me miserable at first thought. I knew no south Indian language except Kannada and they knew no language that I was fluent in. Complete dead-lock. On the other hand DOJ being served just a week before joining left little room for negotiations and so, with very little to do, I started packing myself for Chennai treat! Once in city, I was open for more - with stinky street, political posters on every new wall and building, my worries tended to rise. Added to it was my language dilemma. But then I met this man! Actually, it was my search from shop to shop, person to person for accommodation which landed me at his grocery shop. With

Goa's milky-white Dudhsagar and gang of money-collectors of heaven albeit with receipts!

Image
For those who rely on adventurous sports or places driven by nature's glory in and around Goa, Dudhsagar is no new name to your dictionary. With picturesque forest covered mountains at rear, a railway bridge before it and milk ( Dudh in India stands for milk and Saga r for ocean, that's how this falls got its name! ) sprawling from uncanny mountain range, it is a sight one would crave to watch and cherish forever; and euphoric tourists from abroad lined for tickets at ticket-counter speak exactly that. How do you go there? Not so tough heady task. Once you reach Goa, the work is almost done, the place is quite famous that anybody will get you to the heavenly spot ( not to falls but ticket counter of course! ). The actual bargain begins from here on. First and foremost, if you have come with a private vehicle of yours, you are stopped little far from where tickets are issued and you are made to walk for about 5-10 minutes, depends how you put your steps or how bad shopping

Between Arvind Kejriwal & Sheila Dixit in Delhi, will BJP just be a storm in tea-cup this December 4?

Image
Arvind Kejriwal: Will he be the change India desperately look up to? Those familiar with power corridors will probably know how much pivotal, colossal of power, a sort of nucleus, Delhi is to the supposed yet-to-be superpower; that is India. And that nucleus of a powerhouse is scheduled to go for votes this winter on December 4 and unlike two parties that sweat here over and over again each time capital went to vote, this time people will have another in their kitty to chose from - Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the first time after its launch last October goes to poll this December. With that people will have three different choices or is it just two with BJP misreading writings on a wall? Time only will tell what! For those who keep a tab on record books, this time you will not be disappointed either way! If India's grand old party - Congress cracks the Delhi juggernaut, CM Sheila Dixit would rewrite congress' record books with her record fou

What Rahul Gandhi's rebel avatar on criminal ordinance mean to India & a political spectrum ruled by party whip!

Image
After many days of silence and sober appearances Rahul Gandhi has taken a stand on something as grave and important as this ordinance which aimed to nullify Supreme Court order barring convicted MPs from parliament. In his strong statement, Gandhi scion has called the ordinance 'nonsense', thereby giving an all new dimension to Indian politics which survived barely on party whip and decisions taken from high-command. In a nation where politicians rarely speak their mind fearing an ouster from the party, this comes as a shocker from Vice President of India's grand old party that has precisely defined India of today in its decades long administration. Earlier, Supreme Court has passed an order making it impossible for 'criminal' MPs to continue in both houses of parliament. The order was seen as an effort, a move towards cleansing a rotten system crushing under dirty hands of corruption. Many had seen it as a move that will restore voters  confidence

Can faith really move mountains? Think again before it's a no!

There is this saying, we have been taught in primaries, 'Faith can move mountains'. I don't know exactly if it really could do so by moving one such mountain magically, but literally 'yes', it can. For I have read this story of a man from Bihar, India who had cut a rocky mountain from middle, all by himself to carve out a path that could lower distance of market from his village, thereby saving millions of hours from people's lives getting wasted just to travel! It had taken considerable span of his own life to hammer out such a path but that never succeeded to lower his morale; he was rock steady and determined to achieve what he had dreamt the other day. Faith in his dream kept him moving despite being turned into an object of stupidity till his dream materialized into the realm of this world. Science says it's the energy that drives a man to his destiny; it's the energy that runs this universe. It might actually. But what use is the energy for a bir

Decoding Syria: Know how and why a state is in war with itself!

Image
Everyone who follows news or not but on social-media platforms knows that something is going on in a part of world called Syria. Few know what it is but don't know why and those who know why too, wonder why US president Obama is pitching for war against state of Syria. This piece is for all such enthusiasts who know bits and wish to explore more. To know exactly what is going on in Syria and why is a challenge in itself. On basic note as New York Times says it: Syria and its history are actually complicated. So mastering its happenings ditto is long, tedious and near impossible task. Let us not deal the same. To begin with, Syria is a country in middle-east, along the eastern shore of Mediterranean Sea with population of 22 million. It is diverse, ethnically and religiously, but most Syrian’ are ethnic Arab and follow Sunni branch of Islam. Presently it is in the middle of extremely violent civil war, fighting between rebels and government forces has killed 100,000 and

Food Security Bill: A gamechanger. But whose game will it change?!

On Monday Congress led United Progressive Alliance government breathed sigh of relief as they succeeded in passing landmark Food Security Bill touted as UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's dream project in lower house of parliament. The Food Security Scheme aimed at providing food grain to whopping 82 crore people of India who fall below poverty line at the cost of Rs. 1,30,000 crore will be largest of its kind in the world. The bill will guarantee 5kg of rice, wheat and coarse cereals per month per person at a fixed price of Rs. 3, 2, 1 respectively. Price can be revised every 3 years. To realise a scheme of its calibre govt would require 62 million tonnes of food grains at its disposal but given the state of our godowns and ill storage one will doubt regarding its success. At a time when no day goes with reportage of grain-drain in rainy scum or stills of rotten grains in open storage across nation, anyone would be interested enough to know how this game-changer schem

Turning failures into new unimaginable success-stories…

Image
For failure is never an end but a beginning of promising tomorrow. "Every test in our life makes us bitter or better,  every problem comes to break us or make us. The choice is ours, whether to become a Victim or a Victor!" Between vast number of books, theories, plans & re-plans on 'how to succeed' lies our story crushed in a mess where success seems impossible to attain and failure gripping to overhaul. Eventually everything from theory to master-plan comes to a point where nothing except failure seems working to cling us. But then is it really possible to kiss success each time we set out to attain the same? Do destiny has any role to play or is there any master-stroke to hug success each time we battle out for! I don't find any, nor do I expect any of such stroke to exist. While I strongly believe at times 'defeat' is the utter necessity more so than the 'sweet lullaby of success'. 'How' is the key for a life filled wit

India: the Story You Never Wanted to Hear

Image
In a powerful account posted on CNN iReport under the username RoseChasm, Michaela Cross highlights what India of today offers to visitors apart the sheer brilliance of its natural colors. She like many others visited India for what she had heard from others about this culturally vibrant and deeply rooted in ancient ethics country for study trip from Chicago University but what followed later on is classic tale of misplaced adventures and dready encounters females face in every corners of this ancient nation. Followed here is her account of misery and known-but-untold tale of India... Michaela Cross during merry times. When people ask me about my experience studying abroad in India, I always face the same dilemma. How does one convey the contradiction that over the past few months has torn my life apart, and convey it in a single succinct sentence? “India was wonderful," I go with, "but extremely dangerous for women.” Part of me dreads the follow-up questions, a
