Girl gangraped and thrown naked out of moving bus in Delhi with her friend. Is Delhi the new RAPE CAPITAL...?

The very capital of India which till now had 'privilege' of knowing as
'Crime Capital' is turning into 'Rape Capital' in particular. The
recent been of a girl being gangraped and thrown out of moving bus in
a well lit area of Delhi. If in US a gunman goes on a rampant kill of
26 including innocent children, his own mother and himself; here in
India, a whole band of humankind is brought to shame with heinous
crimes like gangrapes every now & then which mortally shake the very
basis of conscience itself.

After one day of the incident, police have captured one main suspect,
Ram Singh, who was driver of bus. They had relied on CCTV footages of
nearby hotels and had captured reportedly four suspects till afternoon
of Monday. Male friend of girl being prima facie in this case has
actually helped police in realising the shocking story of 'girls
safety' in capital. The incident had took place when girl and her
friend were returning after watchin movie at Citywalk mall. Boy and
girl, who happens to be student of Jawaharlal Nehru University were
boarding a bus when conductor reportedly engaged in a scrap with make
counterpart of girl -police briefed. The boy too was badly injured
while trying to save his friend who was gangraped in driver's cabin
one-by-one by total of six heinous beasts. While they took her in
cabin to commit the heinous crime, boy was tied hard to the grill of
bus window. Later both girl and boy were stripped and thrown out of
moving bus at Vasant Vihar, Delhi. Girl who is presently critical in
ICU is on Ventilator support. She was hit with a blunt object on face
and abdomen. Currently under shock, she has not spoken anything in
yet.

The key points one must note here are of 'well lit' area where this
crime was carried out and the chartered irregular bus which acted as a
carrier of hell. Both points yet again proves that there is no place
as 'safe & secure' for women in our nation. When a bus in well lit
area of Delhi can go unnoticed by Police of Capital of this nation,
what can one expect of other places! Though the bus was covered with
curtains making 'see-through' impossible yet in the two hour long
journey of 'shock & horror' if a bus gets unnoticed then reasonably
the questions raised against the claims of 'safety & security' as
claimed by Police officials and Delhi Goverment are justified.
Curtains point even towards the luxury of it; so there are ripe
chances of it being owned by a BPO or reputed company for its service
and not to lift passengers straight out of streets. In short, boarding
girl and her friend was an illegal act, an offence under IPC. Police
haven't yet found the owner of bus and have appealed to general public
asking them to identify the owner from CCTV clippings and help them
grab the beasts of Delhi.

The cases of rapes aren't new in nation nor in Delhi but the way it
was carried out this time certainly is one of its kind. Time and
again, rapes & molestation makes headlines and vanish aftermath. Only
recently a girl (or more particularly a baby) of mere two or four
years was raped and dumped in drainage by a beast who entered home
with the intention of stealing. Very few months have departed after a
girl was molested on the busy street of Assam by nearw 21 heinous
beasts. Many many more are such cases occuring all over the nation.
The justice? It still is crawling with snails pace. What we need are
fast-track courts to judge such cases and non-bailable warrants to be
issued on such perpetrators. The society which openly accepts them
after a while of the offence too must be held responsible for such a
staggering increase in similar crimes. Because it is that particular
'acceptance' which fuels their 'unbearable' confidence. And we have
some transit 'intellectuals' in our nation who even cross every limit
of morality and state, "they are 'sorry' for their wrong-doings and
can be spared now!" How ridiculous?? They are sorry! Should I come
there and slap you on your face and utter an emotional 'sorry'? Will
that be fine gentlemen? A 'sorry' of no kind will ever erase the
horror and shock the innocent girl has undergone. Nothing could
possibly retrace and restore her life as it was few moments back. She
is shattered to live a life of ordinary girl now; now society will
stare at her as a 'VIP', VIP of unimaginable kind. While criminals who
made her life hell are ordinary citizens now; 'hero' for some and 'now
its all fine' for another. In all, they live a formidable, respected
free life but girl suffers; suffers for lifetime! Where do YOU stand?
Which side? And what is your view points...
