Disgusting! TMC goons chop off man's ear for taking part in Bharath Bandh...

Time and again, strikes have ignited the debate whether they are
rightful to be called as 'constitutional'. Out constitution allows
them to register their voice and concern but Supreme Court in its
land-mark judgement maintains that, nobody must be forced to
participate and shut their premises just because some wish so. Further
your ways of protest in no way shall affect other people's business
from sailing smooth.

In contrast to every judgement and law of land, strikes across the
nation have proved to be fatal and dangerous. Recent being the one
called by 11 trade unions mostly CITU, an active arm of CPM. 'Bharath
Bandh' as they call it, turned violent in many cities namely Noida's
industrial area where hoodlums numbering around hundred throwed stones
at factories and even opened fire into numerous vehicles later on.

48 hour strike which went into cold storage first day except that
unexpected incident in Noida turned more harsher and violent on second
day. From Delhi to West Bengal, almost every prominent city witnessed
a rigorous protest. But what surfaced in Didi, Mamata Bannerji's
Bengal was heinous of heinous crime. Mamata Bannerji who dethroned
Left Rule in West Bengal and crowned herself as the supreme ruler of
earlier Left bastion was solely on the prowess of her strikes and
rallies on streets now and then. It was no less than suprise when Didi
announced her never-expected order - NO MORE STRIKES IN WEST BENGAL,
IT HITS ECONOMY. Alright! It's true too but who's saying it!

When CPM announced strike, West Bengal was expected to be its
epicentre but Mamata's warnings kept all things at bay. She in a
recent function has said - nobody must join the strike or protest. The
one who joins will be entitled for action according to law. Shops
pulling shutters will be at risk of losing their licence! And may be
this kept people away from Bharat Bandh. But some did pulled their
shutters off and few protested on streets which irked Didi's eyes. And
Madam's supporters registered their anger in lot fowl and disgusted
manner possible - by chopping his ears!

Trinamool Congress workers allegedly chopped off the ear of a
panchayat worker in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Thursday for
joining the two-day nationwide strike by major trade unions, police
said. "We have received information of the incident but no complaint
has been registered so far," an officer of Jalangi police station,
under which the incident happened, said.

The incident occurred in Jalangi in Murshidabad district, some 200km
from Kolkata, when Hazrat Omar, a panchayat worker arrived at his
office Thursday. "I was sitting in the office when some Trinamool
Congress goons came and asked why I was absent from office yesterday
(Wednesday) and before I could reply they attacked me with a knife and
cut a major portion of my left ear," said Omar.

Omar, who is undergoing treatment in a hospital, said he will file a
police complaint after he is discharged.

Adhir Chowdhury,
Congress parliamentarian from Berhampore
constituency in the district, condemned the incident and demanded
immediate punishment for the guilty. "The Trinamool Congress has vowed
to keep strikers at bay and this is what they are doing. Trinamool is
now a party of goons who have gone out of control," said Chowdhury.

The February 20-21 strike has been called by 11 central trade unions
to press a 10-point charter of demands.
