Why only APJ KALAM could do justice to post of President of India?

With race to Raisina Hills rising and amidst many a big speculations. This one man's candidature stands tall!! But in Indian politics RUBBER STAMPS are more valued than visionaries! will APJ KALAM revive his magic? Will we be able to see PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT for the second term? Read on.....


With Mamata and Mulayam raising speculations by picking APJ Kalam's name for Presidential candidature, hopes of million Indians took a dip in creamy elixir! For a country known mostly because of its merry politicians this man stands all apart. Media well from days is abuzz with news of Race to Presidential House. Earlier it was media which brought alive hopes of masses with Kalam's name in race but then with no political party's backing, it was passed into cold bath. But then, it was Mamata Bannergy after meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi, made it clear that Pranab da and Hamid Ansari are congress's first choices but she is averse to them and with Mulayam Singh Yadav will back for APJ KALAM. This is how again news of positive hope in Indians started blooming. Bewildering irony of the whole witty drama is congress game plan! The govt. which never hinders itself or misses chance of portraying itself as govt. of poor’s (CONGRESS KA HAATH AAM AADMI KE SAATH being its trademark caption!) is showing little interest in supporting Kalam's candidature! Well, let me remind who have forgotten, Kalam is known preferably as PEOPLE'S OWN PRESIDENT. Main opposition party BJP is quite clear to support Kalam, after all it was then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who backed and presented India with non-political president in the form of Kalam. Meanwhile there's little catch, with its key ally JDU not keen to support Kalam for president, BJP may find it hard to declare it in public. All thanks to Mamata di for bringing back the discussion on Kalam, she being UPA govt.'s key ally could play a vital role. It was further learnt from media sources that Mamata Bannergy has congratulated in advance to Kalam for decorating Raisina Hills with belief as second term!

APJ KALAM Well the name itself holds such an enormous dignity in it which anyone could deny! President Kalam then, was the man who brought a dignified meaning to the position and name of President. Raisina Hills up to than were unknown to the common mass but his tenure as India's President brought it under light. For the first time in history of Indian democracy a position upto than reckoned as 'Rubber Stamp' started getting a firm meaning and travelled little far from being just a stamp of ruling government’s consent! Simply people weren't crazy to call him as 'PEOPLE'S PRESIDENT'. There was his hard work, vision and dignified life in it. Kalam was the first known person in power who paid for the rent and service provided to his family at Rashtrapati Bhavan when they visited Raisina Hills. APJ was not a meager power hungry leader but a human being with proud practical vision for a proud nation. This was very much evident when he choose being a Teacher over second term as President without elections! Hardly anyone among power hungry politicians would opt this when offered with lavish lifestyle in palace called Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Everybody in India knows what makes Kalam different from the rest. His stature is known to the world! Don't forget he is one among Bharat Ratna awardees’. Who better than a Bharat Ratna to decorate Presidents office? Sad to say that with present developments going on hardly would anyone disregard the motives of Congress. Clearly what they require is a King with no powers, who walks runs and does everything possible on their wishes! In short they need another Rubber Stamp to thump their wicked wishes. If not, is there any vital reason to throw away Kalam's candidature? Just think of honourable present president Pratibha Patil, known mostly for her foreign trips! Do you remember any of her work? Spare the last controversial land grabbing case in Pune where she happily gave her consent to build post retirement bungalow on a land allotted to Army personnels!! That was the last time she was on news.... Congress need her not People's President. I'm not all alone who need Kalam as Indian president; you could well grasp his immense goodwill with the numerable books written on him, his office tenure. One from P.M. Nair who was his secretary wrote 'The Kalam effect' on Kalam's days in office. The most uncertain here was a secretary writing about his boss!! This is still a rare phenomenon but Kalam made it possible.

Million of hopes still eyeing on developments in Indian capital, Kalam has said he will take right decisions at right time!!!
